De-worming tablets are essential for children’s heath, future: Sharad Jain

“Worms are a serious threat for children. Due to which children’s mental and physical growth got affected. A de-worming tablet would not only save children health but can also save their future,” said Sharad Jain, Minister of State Medical Education and Public Health and Family Welfare while addressing the National De-Worming Day programme at Pundit Lajja Shankar Jha School of Excellence, Model School.
On this occasion he said that the program is of small nature but is of great importance. He said Government Of Madhya Pradesh is seriously concerned about children health and their future and is making such serious initiatives. He also emphasized over the public awareness and personal efforts to make the society free from worm. On this occasion Minister administered oral tablets of Albendazole to school children.
In the program Regional Director, Dr. Rajana Gupta said that the left students would be given Albendazole Tablets soon by holding a special campaign. She said students can study properly when their health would be in good condition.
In welcome addressing Dr. Nagaria apprised about objectives of the program orgnaised on National D Worming Day. He added that D working tablet would be administered to the students in Aganbadi Centers and Schools also. He advised that children of one to two years should be given half tablet by crushing and dissolving in water while from 2 years to 19 years of children should administer tablet by chewing the tablet.
The program commence with lighting lamp to start the program followed by Saraswati vandana and welcome song by students. On this occasion Principal Veena Bagpai, CMHO Dr. Pradeep Agrawal, Officers, teachers and students were present.
On this occasion it is informed that children from one year to 19 years of age around eight lac and six thousand children were given Albendazole tablets.
